Meredith Spencer Mullins grew up in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Meredith attended the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia, where she obtained a BA in Studio Art, with a concentration in painting and drawing. She then immersed herself in the MFA Painting Program at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia. There she found her niche as a figurative painter.

Presently she resides near Richmond, Virginia. Meredith thrives in a whirlwind circus with her husband, a teaching colleague and fellow artist, and their three children.

In the evolution of her current paintings, the familiar female figure is studied within the contemplative moments of feminine rituals and routines.
