1. An initial meeting is arranged to discuss and confirm the portrait size, medium, composition, mood, background, clothing, accessories, and any other elements to be included.  From this information, the final price is determined and a contract of agreement is presented.  The initial one-third deposit is requested at this time.

2.  A photo shoot for reference materials and a few preliminary sketches is the next step, which will take approximately two hours.  The photography is included in the list price.  Two or three additional live sittings at the client’s home or in the artist’s studio will be scheduled.

3.  Compositional sketches are approved by the client and work begins on the portrait.

4.  The finished portrait will be delivered approximately four to six months after the photo session.
