MEREDITH SPENCER MULLINS was born in Charlottesville, Virginia and grew up within the small, rural community of St. George VA. She had the unique childhood experience of living on the campus of Blue Ridge School which is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Meredith attended Mary Washington University in Fredericksburg, Virginia where she obtained a B. A. in Studio Art, with a concentration in painting and drawing. From 1996 to 1998, Meredith immersed herself in the M. F. A. Graduate Painting Program at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah GA. There she found her niche both as a figurative painter and a professor of art. Presently, she resides in Glen Allen, Virginia, with her husband Tony, who is also a painter and educator. Meredith has exhibited her work all over the nation; most recently in New York, Los Angeles CA, Savannah GA and Nashville TN. When she is not working on her paintings or portrait commissions, she is teaching collegiate studio classes and spending time with her husband and two sons.
